A former Project Architect with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Civil Engineering Officer in the U.S. Air Force, he brings disciplined execution and strategic oversight from concept through completion.
He has led multimillion-dollar developments across education, healthcare, and community sectors—consistently delivering on time and within budget while ensuring quality, compliance, and long-term sustainability.
Beyond his professional work, Derrick is a proven community leader. He has presided over an HBCU alumni chapter, remains actively engaged in civic and political initiatives, and brings a relationship-driven leadership style both on and off the job—including on the golf course.
