Daryl Boffman is a seasoned executive with 25+ years of leadership across public affairs, technology, and finance. He has held senior roles in education, telecommunications, and corporate leadership, including Executive Director of Public Affairs for Frederick County Public Schools and President & CEO of Acela Technologies.
A former U.S. Army Captain, Daryl made history as the first African American elected to the Frederick County Board of Education, serving from 2002 to 2010. He later ran for County Executive, reflecting his continued commitment to public service.
Deeply rooted in his community, Daryl also serves as a church drummer and supports initiatives in education, healthcare, and global impact.
